Hey there – my name is Kyva, a student and potential organizer at Berkeley City College who’s trying to find out if it’s possible to get more people from the “alternative lifestyle” community (tho’ I’m not terribly impressed by that term) involved in sociopolitical resistance. I’m writing a research paper on it and I have a short survey which would give me valuable insight.

A few thoughts about your survey questions…
There is a difference between attending BM and participating.
A lot of people who attend and participate would certainly not identify with any sort of ‘alternative lifestyle’ unless going to desert means you are alternative
Getting the mainstream population on board with activism is probably a better question… it seems that the alternative people are the ones currently most involved.
